I have a 1950 ranch house on a level half acre in-town lot. We added this 800 square foot addition in 2009 that consists of a master bedroom and a music room; the door goes to a hallway between the rooms. We hardly ever use our huge backyard because there is nothing out there; no deck or patio. We also live across the street from a lake. We can see the lake between the houses on the other side of the street but I would LOVE to have a full view from somewhere. Do you have any suggestions/pictures for a two-story deck or a screened porch with a second story deck or loft; attached to a ranch house? I would like to keep the cost fairly low, no more than $15,000.
