I had the same problem,growing some vegetables,so I made something that worked.
I took a 60 gallon plastic rain/food grade barrel,put it on a small cart from Harbor Freight,that supposedly could hold 1000 lbs.A spigot was already installed on the bottom end and I put a quick disconnect valve on that.To that,a cheap battery operated timer was installed.When the barrel was empty,it was rolled on the cart to a water source and filled.Being on the cart was high enough to provide the pressure needed to go through the drip system. If you want to go low tech, you can always try ollas. I've read some people do something similar by drilling holes in the bottom of 5 gallon buckets. I believe the buckets are left on the surface, not buried.
