Yes, I have been noticing a lot of more "contemporary coastal" homes and it's not about having a ton of shell prints (not that there's anything wrong with that) and more about neutral colors that let details like colonial moldings and textures of wood, seagrass rugs, linen, burlap, baskets, wicker, rattan, rope, et. al. shine.
