Iris for postage

I have several types of bearded iris for postage They are very overcrowded and not all are blooming this year but I will cram as many as possible into either a USPS flat rate
Small or Medium box, Your choice.

So far I see at least 4 different ones, Park purple, light lavender a pale yellow and a yellow with purple bicolor. I'll try yo send a variety, but no guarantees on colors.

Would also consider trade for yellow, pink or white

Beth - I can do postage for these. A friend of mine just called this morning and

said we need to plant some in a bed at our church so I will take them.

Shirley, We have a surplus of the dark ones at our church. they seem to be the ones that most folks have in this area. Want the Med size flat rate box. Depends on how much space you have to work with.....but, you know that. I have a lot to thin and move . Thanks for helping out

Hi Beth, what does your yellow and purple bicolor look like? And do you know it's name? I have something like it here and have always wondered. As for wanting yellow irises, I have a nice yellow gold one that needs to be thinned... As soon as I remember which clump it is!

Shirley, that's a pretty iris picture. I love the purple edging!

Dawn, I believe it is Gacchus, Old House GArdens lists it as being from the late 1800's and describes the falls as being a sort of"raisiny" Purple That seems to be a good description. As the dark part seems somewhere between purple and brown.

That's a pretty one with the stripes on the lower flower (I think I looked up the right one). My mom is really into irises so when she visits, she brings her extras. I couldn't tell you the names of most of mine but I do love the colors! We've been slowly edging the yard with them so there's lots of color in the spring. Even better is that the deer don't eat them! My favorite is on the banner on my page. It was here when we moved in and I have yet to find out its history.

I just messaged you by replying with an older message. If that doesn't go through, my e-mail is dmkelly31@yahoo.com How big are the irises that you're sending out?

I just read on the white elephant forum that the message box may not be open if I did not click on your trade list first. That be what made the difference.

Beth, my letter is on it's way but when it gets there just set it aside. Irises will wait but your brother won't- family needs to come first! Hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery are being sent your way.

Take care of your brother -- no need to worry about irises for me!

Thanks all, His wife says he is recovering well and the "scary part, the surgery is over". I'm thankful for that but still want to visit and offer moral support. I will keep everyone posted

    Package mailed to Kate today.
Any others will be mailed the first week in June. I have mailed all that I have received postage for so far. I know a couple more were in the mail but have not arrived as of today. I promise to take care of getting those out within a couple days after I get home.
Then I will see what is left. Still saving some for Brittneysgran when she is feeling up to it.
Hope everyone has a pleasant holiday weekend and remembers to thank a Veteran

I am home again and Ed is officially "doing well". Walking about a bit with a cane but looks pale to me and gets out of breath. Wife and visiting nurses both say he is progressing well so that is good.
Now I need to get back to work. I'll check the PO in the morning and report who I need to send packages to. Hope all that have arrived look and are doing OK

Kate, have you received your iris?. They should have been there about a week ago.
Dawn K yours will be shipped tomorrow.
Amanda I'll be watching for your postage.
