Switch to induction, you'll love the ease of clean up, the control you have over cooking. There have been tons of posts here recently on induction hob with a convention oven.

The only downside is you might have to buy new pots and pans, but it's worth it.

I was a forever and only gas user. We moved to a home without that option, or we'd have to get our own propane tank. I did not want to do that. I researched induction like crazy.

I ended up buying a Samsung Duo Chef induction. I absolutely love it. So glad I didn't get propane.

I don't know if I would've switched if I already had gas. But I will say that the top is SO much easier to clean. I've had it for about 2 months now.

I have a gas range and will be switching to induction with this reno. I like the idea of easy cleaning, exceptional heating control, elements that have timers to automatically shut off elements (think rice), no flames (and their contaminants) to worry about, etc. etc. I think stir-frying may be more challenging, but it's not something that will affect me.

Actually my stir fry comes out better on my induction. (BTW, thanks for the dinner idea, I had no idea what I was going to make!) I got an excellent all clad pan at Marshalls that's perfect for it.

Meris, what pan (shape and size) did you get for stir-frying on the induction cooktop?

I use a similar one to Meris for my stir fry as well. Might even be the same model.
