I actually now wear a pair of my son's heavy khaki trousers that I came across cleaning out his closet -he has been out of the house for 15 years! They are heavier than most that are sold to women and they are baggy and comfortable. I used to have a couple of pairs of elastic waist pants that were thinner. I loved those, but finally tossed them.

I say, wear whatever is comfortable and forget how they look. I think I actually preferred the elastic waist ones since I also sit and 'scootch' along in the dirt!

Jeans, that is if I manage to get out of my PJ's LOL.

Stretch slightly lower-waisted jeans. Prefer a woven shirt that bits and pieces will not cling to as much as they do with a knit top. PJ's sound good.

Cotton capris with pockets and a t-shirt. I keep pairs of both on a special hook in the closet that are used only for gardening. Garden gloves in one pocket, a head band and a scarf to wipe the sweat off in another pocket. The more loose fitting they are, the better. I may look like a slob but I'm comfortable. Can't believe I'm admitting this, but they don't always get washed every single time either! the capris that is.

In fact there is one particular greenhouse/nursery I really like but I'd say most of the people who shop there come dressed to the nines - no kidding. One time I sheepishly commented to one of the workers that I always felt like I had to dress up to come here, even when I was in the middle of gardening and needed just one more plant to finish for example. She said, "Yeah, well they just pick out the plants, someone else does the planting!" ha ha

T-shirt, jogging pants, black gym shoes, baseball cap, shades and sunscreen. Not the most attractive look, but comfy, so who cares! LOL.

Jeans, boots, sleeveless top and big over-shirt. I always wear the same thing, but switch to flannel shirt, when it's cold. Not a real fashion plate at the farm (LOL) but I do dress up to go to town :)
