I think it is such a great idea. Are you putting them on the mirror or around? I want to see after pictures please. About the wall color, try to go with a color she has going on in her house already. You can do greens, blues or tan for a spa look.

I think you are a genius. The frame looks really good. I makes the mirror more intentional and will make the room look more put together. The green is also a great idea. Just make sure to get a color that looks a bit lighter as a chip that what you really want, as lighting in bathrooms are never great. Nice job!

I love green but it is not the best color for anyone's skin tone. Having said that, I'm probably painting my own bath green. Just thought you might want to know.

Thanks for your feedback everyone! Will definitely post after pics! For those of you that asked, I used double sided tape (I used the 5 lb one which is super strong).. Tape goes right on the mirror and the tile sticks right on top.. You can cut the tape to how broad your 'frame' will be before sticking it on. No adhesive necessary! The best part is, the tile and tape come right off without any damage to the mirror so you can change it up or remove it down the line. Thanks for the color recs.. Will go with a light calming sage green to add color while keeping an earthy feel to the room. Thanks again!

If you can't change the lites...you could think about painting the interior of the Glass-Holders...& ls install a Rheostat & get lite-bulbs that give-off a 'pinkish-hue'...

Ths Sage walls will 'work' nice...If you can LOSE the Med. Chest on the left...cool...if not, maybe it could be frame also...in a nice GOLD ?

very modern looking. definitely go with natural elements. I would use a color on the wall from the tile you use so the contrast will be less stark. Things in spas usually flow...not a lot of stark contrast.

No way. Don't put the tiles around the mirror. I've attached a picture. Get rid of that medicine cabinet. It detracts from the space. Paint the walls this mid lime green colour. Keep the mirror simple.

Just in case you ditch the tile idea this is a good way to trim out an existing bath mirror.

this is great! we are redoing our bathroom and I'm in the same mirror dilema...now thanks to you, I'm going to do a glass/tile/stone frame around the mirror, and a matching stripe down the bathtub tile.. oh my husband hates you now because it's more work than he wanted to attempt :)
