I'm working on a lighting plan for my upcoming remodel and will be posting a few threads with various questions.

This post is specific to over sink lighting and probably includes more details than is necessary but but its better than not enough, right?

My kitchen sink cabinet (33") is located to the right of a 36" corner lazy susan cabinet and in front the left of two 32" windows. To the right of the sink cabinet is a 24" dishwasher cabinet and a 15" drawer cabinet and then an 8' tall pantry. In total there will be about an 8 foot span from the wall cabinets to the left to the 8 foot pantry to the right. I will not have any soffits so it will be full ceiling height.

The wall cabinets to the left are standard depth of 12" and 30" high, leaving a 9" opening between the ceiling and the top of the cabinet (8' tall walls). There is a pull out that will just clear the trim around the window if it reached that far. However, window opening begins roughly 27" from the left wall so it shouldn't even open far enough to be concerned about the trim.

All that said, I'm debating on what sort of over sink lighting would fill the space adequately as well as not get in the way of the pull out. My old kitchen has one ceiling fixture with one light bulb, but in my new configuration, unless I get a larger fixture, I don't think one light is going to look proportional to the opening, nor provide enough light.

Cost is a consideration and the more boxes for fixtures the higher the electrical cost. However I'm willing to put in the money so long as its smartly done.

I've browsed ceiling mounts, pendants, track lights and island lights on Houzz but there's so many options that I thought I would get feedback and suggestions from you all.

My style is transitional and I'm going more for an aged bronze or pewter fixture scheme. (If I keep my existing knobs they are an aged pewter finish)

What would you suggest in this space?

(I am going to be putting in recessed lights throughout the kitchen so this won't be a primary lighting source.)
