Loung room HELP !!!!

Please I need a lot of help. Very plain, boring lounge room. I would like to brighten it up, give it some life. I can also change front door to help let more light into room. I don't know where to do a feature wall or what colour I should do ?

Rug and Blinds are new. I am not a visual person, so throw some pics to me if you like.

I have 3 large photos of kids I hang there usually, but house is on market so trying to keep it fresh and not so personal.

I'd just find a large colorful poster to fill the empty space over your couch. Beyond that, the room is filled enough for sale purposes.

If you're listing I wouldn't worry about doing too much, it's simple and fine the way it is.

Hi Beannie. I like your light-hearted approach to the space. It's morning here and I have stuff to do, but here are my first thoughts -- I like the idea of blue walls, although if you feel more conservative beige could look very good, too. And I don't often recommend decals, but I think one something like what I've sketched in could work here -- it could be big, to balance the weight of the sectional, and remain quite light in overall effect, so that it doesn't compete with those pretty little pictures. I've moved them quite a bit lower and slightly closer together, by the way. See you later, I hope.

ok, maybe I will do a feature wall and a lamp table near door with some crafty mags on it. Lift TV on wall too, hubby put it far too low. I have another wall (area) I will put a pic up of and see if you can help with that too.

Thanks Rina, I have seen some of your comments on other posts, very impressive. I love trees, but I am not sure if this would suit this wall. I do love it tho.

If you're on the market I wouldn't use a decal. They're too 'love it or hate it'. I don't think you need to do anything to make the room sale-worthy. :-)

I would really consider replacing that long console you have your TV on. You run right into it when you come in the door. The sectional also appears to large for the space. Are any of the pieces removable? You are making the space appear smaller which will not help it sell.

Yes Tv is actually fixed to the wall, So it needs to be lifted higher, the white unit is just there, kinda has no purpose, altho we have stuff in it, I would prefer a smaller one to fit the room. We don't use this front door, but it IS the front door, so to speak.

Rina how did you get to add paint colours to a wall on the other post I originally seen you on ?

I seem to have 2 posts going together altho I deleted one. Ok so the main front door we put in around back of house is.......

That print I bought but is wrong for our setting as we have bush around us. This is what I was hoping to maybe do here, opinions very welcome....

Beannie -- the same way I made your room blue above, but in that case I think we were looking at specific colours, which I picked up online (as well as one can, which isn't very accurately) and transferred to the pictures. I use Paint. Alas I can't offer to do it now because an urgent job arrived late yesterday, deadline Sunday, so I have a bit of a miracle to accomplish for my client. Oh dear.

Wall is painted now, and TV sitting higher. Still trying to find a suitable smaller tv unit. We will change the door next to a more modern, I will post a pic once we have done that. What do you think of wall colour?
