Hello! We will be closing on our first house soon, and I was hoping for some advice on new kitchen counters! I actually love everything else about the kitchen, especially the floor. Was thinking I'd paint the walls white, and add white subway tile backsplash, but I think the counters need more pop - they are currently an old beige Formica. We are on a pretty tight budget, so I was thinking something like IKEA butcher block or the Formica FX in black walnut - would that be too much wood? I'd love to hear any thoughts!
