Probably not the first thing anyone would think of when it comes to tropical fruits but they are afterall fruits, and very tropical. I've got a few vines growing but this is the first time one has started to produce fruit. With the amount of pepper I use that little bunch would probably last me well over a year.
I have 2 other species of Piper. One is a local native and the other a native from the other side of the country. Those aren't grown for peppercorns but some people use the leaves in cooking for that peppery taste.
