Help!! I have had this fantastic home for 11 years. We put on an addition 6 years ago and the stain never matched the original house and it just looks bad. We have hired a painter who recommends we stain the home and deck in a solid stain since parts of the house and deck are not in perfect shape. I just do not know what color to do! Should i totally change it up and try a deep charcoal with white trim or should i try something crazy to modernize it? Any advice is appreciated. The picture does not show just how bad it looks up close. Current picture attached!
