so, we belatedly put in our semihandmade door order, and there is an 8 week delay. the rest of the kitchen will be done in the next two weeks, and we are considering buying ikea base cab drawer fronts to get us through the next two months. We would then remove them and return them to ikea within their generous 90 day return policy.

Does anyone see issues with this plan? It's not idea, but long story short we are having guests stay in our house for a month, and I'd like to cover up the base cab stuff. (The upper cabs can be "open shelving" for now...)
