Will Techo Bloc Blu60 slab shift over time?

We have an older patio block set in stone dust/sand base w/polymer joint lock but we still have the occasional weed come through and some shifting after the harsh winter. Will this happen with the Blu60 slab?

There is little that can be done in damp, shaded areas to prevent weeds from continuously growing. That being said, Techo-Bloc’s Stabilizing Sand allows very minimal weed growth between the joints. As for the shifting of the slabs, we test our products using saline tests rather than water tests. Our dry-cast paving stones are de-icing salt resistant and engineered to withstand the harshest climates. We're a Quebec grown company, we know how difficult Canadian winters can be. As such, each paver is designed to interlock with the pavers next to it, which creates a solid and sturdy surface that won't shift over time. Any well installed Blu 60 slab will be forever set in stone or, better yet, concrete.

    Hey Jess,

The pool coping is Bullnose in Champlain Grey and the slabs are Blu 60mm slate in Champlain Grey as well.

    Hope this helps!
