When we moved here there was some weird wires in my room leading to the closet.

What's weird about them? The picture is obviously useless, but maybe you can describe them if you can't get a better camera.

Well from your well worded and descriptive response, I'd say that it's definitely the same object that I found under the ground in my house. Here's a picture of it.

Once you find that and remove the wires from it, the noise will stop.

From the description, and the season, I'd suspect carpenter bees. Why do you say it's not insects?
