I have zero gardening knowledge and need some help with this. I live in an urban setting so yard space is limited. I live next to the craziest people on earth and need privacy as soon as possible. Would like for them not to be able to see me from their 2nd story window while I'm in my yard. I have a 6' privacy fence already so I'm needing something that can go along that fence but will reach heights around 15-20' (quickly). I would like to be able to plant as close to the fence as I can so I don't waste a lot of yard space. I would prefer something evergreen, for year round privacy. I'm in Cleveland, OH (zone 6b). I really like the look of the Italian Cypress but they don't grow in zone 6 (from what I've seen). I would like something narrow and tall like that, that doesn't require pruning. But if I have to, I'll prune something into a hedge. So I was thinking about the Green Giant Arborvitae but that seems like it would take a lot of pruning to keep the size under control. Other things don't seem like they grow fast enough. If someone has any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Basically I'm looking for a tall, narrow evergreen that wouldn't require a lot of maintenance.
