Thank you. It was a big job. Grading, leveling, installing pipe drainage, compost, topsoil, fence, zoysia sod, plants, mulch. We also extended the backyard patio and put in a pond/waterfall feature. Total cost was around 16,000. The front yard used to completely flood so getting that level was a must. Our house is on a busy street so really needed that front fence.

Much improved! Congratulations.

I hope that tree in the fence corner is not a Magnolia grandiflora. It will HUGELY outgrow that spot quite soon if it is.

Not necessarily :-) There are a number of dwarf/compact cultivars that are very suitable for smaller spaces. The form of the one in the photo looks very similar to 'Little Gem', which is one such selection.

The before and afters are very impressive. Nice job!

My favorite kind of posts. Very pretty!!

It looks wonderful. Did you guys do it yourself? We're doing something similar (ok exactly the same minus extending our backyard and no waterfall) and were quoted almost 20k. This is in NY.

Lovely!

We did not do it ourselves. Although I yanked out a lot of the plants the landscaper put in and planted what I liked. And that is a little gem magnolia. Already mature. Poor thing was moved twice as the landscaper put it in the wrong spot originally.

More before and after pics of the front of the house. Pic heavy.

Nice job, very welcoming look. I like all the color.

Here is what they did to level the yard and stop it from flooding.
