How did you detail the Corten siding

It is a gorgeous house. Very simple clean details on the house. How did you do the rusted metal panels. Are they flat sheets or bent panels? Is there a spacer between the wall and the metal? Is there a gap between the panel joints or is there a fold to lock the panels together?

The panels are flat sheets mounted directly on the walls and the panel joins are covered with a steel batten.

I like the steel panels. Is there a detail below them that keeps any rust from running down the concrete wall below or does the Corten stop rusting completely?
