HI -- I like this house and yes it is a little 70's brown but I like the color so maybe just doing the trims and a new color on the front door is the way to go . But I also could see the siding being a nice cream white too. Maybe think about a dark navy on the trims and then the cream white on the front door . Paint the trim color on the stair railing too. "Polo Blue " by Benjamin Moore paints is a good dark navy for the trims . Look at house color combos on Houzz and paint web sites - such as Benjamin Moore and Behr or Sherwin Williams etc. The landscaping is beautiful !

Your house looks charming and the color blends well with all the mature plantings...white seems too stark for the setting and is impractical for the door ...I think you are on the right track with the green altho I would choose a lighter shade ...perhaps pick your favorite tree in the yard and match that ..the trims seem minimal and could easily match the door or be a few shades lighter to come closer to the house color...the appeal of your house is how cohesive it is with the surroundings

If you are looking for a pop of color consider painting the whole area around the door and the railing to match...drawing attention to the entry and the door..for a contemporary look use a medium dusty gray, matching the trim the same and maybe a charcoal door

Grey will not brighten up the house. Like lefty I would suggest blue trim and I would put orange on the door. Paint the railing the same as your siding
