Beautiful quilts, Jayne. You did a super job choosing subtle fabrics for the Heaven's Stairway quilt. It's very colorful, but no one color jumps out. Lovely work.

All of the fabrics in Heaven's Stairway were from my stash except for the backing which I bought. The quilting was done by Sandi Verbridge as I an not machine quilting anything larger then a twin sized any longer.

What is a Quilt Along?

Beth, A Quilt-Along is when some people make the same blocks that are posted by someone. Everyone goes at their own speed, colors are suggested but not written in stone, Linda posts her Zelda blocks about once a month and I've seen some that are weekly....depending on how many blocks are needed, the difficulty and size. If someone is having trouble with something, questions are asked and hints are offered. Similar to the Block of the Month but usually is for a complete quilt. Hope that helps you understand a Quilt-Along. :-)

Both of these are beautiful. The colors are so soft and pretty. I like the border of colored/white squares in the HS. The HS is a great pattern....really like it.

It looks like the blocks are HSTs and squares, but I can't find a pattern for it.

the pattern is from June 2001 issue of Am. Patchwork and Quilting. Also found in Quilt-Lovers Favorites Vol. 1 .

Love it! I am going to go back and dig through my quilting magazines to find that pattern. The rag quilt is sweet - lucky GGbaby when they arrive!

Wow, that looks like a lot of work, but so worth it. We did a block for the Lotto that was similar, but I had a little trouble with it. Yours look perfect.

Nice quilts! The rag quilt looks very cuddly, and the Heaven's Stairway is beautiful.
