This question comes up over and over. Depends on how you do your dishes, as far as I can tell -- if most goes into dishwasher, then a single sink is a luxury for handling big pans, etc.; if you mostly handwash, then perhaps you like wash + rinse. Honestly, I think I have a 70/30, and I can't imagine any use for that smaller sink. The disposal is connected there, so we have the inconvenience of having to rinse dishes into the off-center bowl...

Good points, my clients lately have been leaning towards 1 large bowl sink. What material I'm assuming Stainless Steel?

Yes, stainless steel. I guess one would not fill a large single sink with soapy water to wash pots and pans. Does any one put a small wire dish rack on one end of the sink and wash at the other side?

I dont think many people fill a sink up with soapy water to wash dishes anyhow, the water gets too dirty. I leave the water run inane use a sponge and add soap as needed, isn't this the way it's done? Lol :)

I like two, same size, because I don't like my dish drainer on the counter. Between hand washables and rinsed recyclables, the dish drainer gets a lot of use. I have nice deep bowls on each side - I have seen some that look too shallow.

There's a lot of information on different types of sinks and the benefits of each but I personally prefer double sinks so I can separate washing and rinsing when washing dishes and also for cleaning vegetables while having dirty dishes soaked at the same time
