If you love daylilies, try the re-blooming varieties like Strawberry Candy, Pardon Me, Stella D'Oro and Purple D'Oro. They won't play out on you. Talk to a local nursery about transplanting the Rose of Sharon bushes farther away from the den. They're just going to get bigger and more crowded in that location. Look for some dwarf varieties of Hydrangea and Azalea if you want to replace them. Keep your plants small scale like the diva den.
