Painting several rooms

How many different paint colors should you use in a house. I want to paint our living room, breakfast room and possibly kitchen. It is an open concept floor plan. Should I carry the same color through all three rooms?

If there isn't a logical place to change the colors, then yes, keep them the same. If you have logical transition places then make sure that the colors you choose compliment each other.

You do not have to have the same colour right through, many do, pics as examples, you can see how they all compliment each other, makes things more interesting

You do not have to have the same colour right through, many do, pics as examples, you can see how they all compliment each other, makes things more interesting

Use as many colors as works logically. You want to change colors at a natural break in the room.

Here are some of my favorite rooms color-wise. I just painted my office these colors in the second picture, and love it!
