I'm trying to figure out if the rug is too small for the space, thinking about a more voluminous one. I also was wondering what type of coffee table in front of the couch. Lastly what chairs to get for the right of the couch. I'll be getting rid of the chair that is there right now. I'm finding myself looking at all the same wood finish as you can see by my media stand. Any input is appreciated! Thanks guys.

Since the sectional, rug and wainscoting are all rectangles, it might be nice to get a curve in the room with the coffee table. Larger rug...............maybe with a subtle pattern.

Yes, you need a really gorgeous 8x10 rug for the space and perhaps a large drum table or a pair of smaller drum tables for in front of your sectional sofa.

Try a table that is not round, but a different shape woods do not have to match

Do you want your replacement chair in solid color? Grey or off white or do you want to bring in another color?

How about a nice shag rug?

I love the hexagon! I was hoping to find chairs with a cool neutral pattern. Color would be in art, pillows and blankets. Agree about the wood finish not matching.

I'm almost there folks. Just gonna paint and get different decorative pillows and another shelving unit by the window in front of the chairs. Thanks for your help.

Pull the front legs of your chairs onto the rug. A large piece of art over the chairs

Art is from Pier 1. I think it is good size for wall above chairs. They also have wonderful pillows.

Hi, is that a new rug? It appears to be a large square, rather than a larger rectangular one, which is what you may want. The chairs that are pushed against the wall need to come out so their front legs are on the carpet.
The carpet is very dark, same tone as your sectional and floor. I think I would like to see something much lighter for some contrast. Try a light sisal carpet, maybe?

If that rug is staying, then try pulling your chairs and round table way forward on to the rug and maybe find another place for the footstool in the corner. Things are kind of scrunched together against that wall.
