Just lovely! Nice work! I had to scroll back and forth several times before I noticed how everything was in a similar location in the before kitchen, but it looks completely different!

I have one question.. Where is your dishwasher? It must be well camouflaged! Ok two..Do you have any other pictures of the working side of the island? I'm contemplating a similar overall layout and I would love to see how you laid out the island:)

Thank you so much for all the kind comments! It seriously feels like my working space was doubled even though my total countertops and cabinets didn't change that much. Dishwasher was moved to center of island. It was previously located in the peninsula. There is also a cabinet for my mixer that pops out. And the cabinet over the fridge contains the TV.

I love it so much I needed to comment again...I don't typically like two-tone kitchens but I am really groovin' on yours. The light grey and dark stain look really great together...and the whole space looks so much bigger. Really awesome job!!

Thanks @dcward89! It took me awhile to figure it out as all dark was way too dark and I just couldn't wrap my head around white cabinets, so I went with the grey, convincing myself that it's still a neutral color so everything will be ok:-). A bit trendy but I just love it! And kept some darker cabinets just because I love stained wood cabinets too. I have no plans of selling so I finally did something for me instead of 'for the masses'.

Love the hood, too. I nearly bought a Zephyr hood but I wanted baffle filters and at the time I purchased my hood, they only offered mesh filters. Not that I don't love my Modern Aire hood but the Zephyr was definitely more budget friendly.

Good plan to eliminate the peninsula and make the island longer. I think that's why your kitchen looks bigger now.

No way! That is not even the same house. Amazing job. I am going to show my DH the 4x12 tiles on your bs. We have been ABB for longer then I care to admit. Very nice, esp. like the BS with the grey cabs. The BS seems to even compliment the floor.
