My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

budget kitchen transformation

We have bought our first house last December and didnt have the money to have a new kitchen so we decided to transform the existing one... here are some before and after pictures. It was our first diy done together!

    I love Ikea Cabinets. They have given every homeowner the opportunity to remodel their kitchens (and other rooms) without having to take out a second mortgage on their homes. I think the cabinets look lovely and I love the countertops -- always wanted wood countertops.

      Thank you for your comments. We actually used the same cabinets just added wallpaper and painted them gray with new handles from Ikea. We really like the wooden worktops which added nice character to our kitchen :-)

      Wallpaper? Tell me more! Is the "beadboard" actually wallpaper? And then did you frame it with wood? We have HIDEOUS 80's cabinets in our 1913 home (those white laminate ones with the oak trim and a cutout pull area, all enhanced with matte dusty rose paint by a previous owner!) and we are looking for inexpensive ways to end the horror.

      Hi Andrea! yes we did use the "beadboard" wallpaper and we were really pleased of the results after adding wood frames on top of it. i found the ideas on pintrest and just followed the instruction. here is the website http://sandandsisal.com/2013/09/budget-cabinet-makeover.html . they have lots of important tips and ideas! i am sure you will be able to transform your kitchen on a budget! good luck and make sure you put some pictures on houzz so i can see the transformation! :-)
