Will you be painting the brick or just the wood areas?

i never recommend painting brick, i am not an expert, but i never met anyone like it in the long run. right now it seems to have a warm color palette, beige, brown goes well with reds and yellows, and orangish, sorta fall type colors. if you want to go more cool side grays, blues, whites, greens, turquoise, you might want to go with gray roof, gray gutter. which do you prefer? then there is black, does a black roof add to the heat absorbed and does that matter where you live? but as we all know black goes great with gray, beige, white red, so pretty much everything.

Get rid of the skinny little shutters on that right-hand window -- they're adding nothing and aren't the right size. Then I'd lighten the paint on the garage door several shades, until it's just a shade or two darker than the brick, and repaint the downspouts at the same time.

Don't know about roof -- current seems ok, although a grayer-toned roof is more stylish at the moment, and would support you moving your trim shades a bit cooler, if that's your preference. Any way you go, though, I'd pick a brighter shade for your front door (now freed from coordination with shutters), which is currently a bit lost in shadow.

Another option: this could be a great time for solar shingles! If you can get a system via lease, you'll probably break even on your electrical bills too! :)

Actually I kinda thought the wood trim accented the house, did not even realize it was a shudder. true it is too small, but i think if you keep it looking like it is a design element, not a shutter it is nice. I agree with making the garage door sorta fade into the background. I also had not thought about making everything match the brick that could give you even more paint options.

Here is the important part of all my messages currently

I would get rid of the window blinds. They detract from the outer appearance of your home. I really like your brick and landscaping. I might try a sage green in place of the brown.

A light sage green would be very pretty on all the trim and the front door

Hope this helps,
