My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

How can I make this fireplace mantle look better? The picture I'd like to keep....

    As you can see in the examples below, "les is more" as it relates to such a massive fireplace. I think the art work that you have above it is way too much for the space. Makes it look too busy and really detracts from the beauty of the fireplace. (Not saying the painting isn't lovely, just not over the fireplace.)

    In each of the attached examples the accessories are kept to a bare minimum which allows the fireplace to be the star.....which it is.
