Hello,

I have Sweet and Cinnamon Basil which was growing great up until a week ago. The underside of the leaves started showing very tiny black dots which do wipe off with enough effort. I read online that it could be sooty mold but Google Images shows it taking over the whole leaf and looking incredibly worse than what I have going on. Articles also say sooty mold is caused by aphids releasing honeydew allowing the mold to grow. I have set up traps and see no signs of aphids.

This tends to stay on the underside of the leaf. I have other herbs and leafy greens growing and it has jumped over the others just to get to other basil plants. Seems to be airborne.
