what kind of drainage do you have along the house at the garage?

Permable sidewalks are a recent "thing" here. They are used where the permeable area needs to be increased/maintained, but a sidewalk needs to go in. They are less desireable than normal sidewalk, and where there is shade, moss grows on/in the permeable sidewalk. Not sure that would be relevant to where you are (I'm wet PNW). Do you ever see moss down there?

I'd pull the weeds from the cracks, flood the cracks with herbicide, stuff 'em with backer rod, and caulk 'em. Let the new owner worry about it.

I don't believe there are any benefits for a home owner. You could get concrete colored and stamped.

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish - have you considered a mix of concrete and gravel?

Need to address drainage. Probably cant change slope much but you need to manage the water, direct it so it bypasses the garage. I agree with the backer rod and caulk idea.

If you can change the slope, a complete redo of the driveway would be good, but I am thinking you cant change the slope, probably on a hill. I don't think a paver driveway will last with that slope.
