Having sat in several similar chairs made by this manufacturer I can say it has a relatively soft back and cushy seat that you sink into reasonably well. It isn't like a La-Z-Boy where you feel like the chair is envelopes around you, but it's soft and comfortable while still maintaining its shape and form.
