Played on the Sherwin Williams color visualizer site- here is a gray cabinet paint that is close to yours and added a pale gray ( SW Gateway Gray) to your walls. Looks nice. I think you need to pull a color from your carpet for pillows.

I was going to suggest a color, but I just noticed the tone of your wood floor and the gray I thought best has a purple undertone. You could try blenheimnewzealand's suggestion, it might be a warm enough gray.

Gray as your background color is a great idea considering your deep, dark sectional & vibrant rug.

Since your cabinetry is such a small element in the room, I would suggest you use the same color gray on your walls as you would on the cabinetry.

Using a semi-gloss on the wood will give it a slight distinction from the flat or eggshell on the walls but also provide a spacious feeling to the room (your window will appear to be larger as well) & allow for artwork & accessories to be your more interesting & viable visual "interruptions."

I'm a Benjamin Moore junkie, so my choice would be HC-165/boothbay gray.
