since it's a basement, I'm a little concerned about lighting so I wouldn't want to go too dark. But what about a beige with a metallic silver horizontal stripe on the wall that is not covered with stone? Maybe update lighting with something really cool and industrial looking? I'd use accessories that are shiny stainless/silver to make it funky and fun!

Thanks! There is recessed can lights and an addition walk-out adjoining it so it gets some natural light but not a lot I love the idea of stripes!
