Considering you have a classic chair and a linen headboard, you need color. Find a nice comforter (or bedspread if that's what you like). Solid color. It can be any color, bright yellow, turquoise, red, green etc. Once you find a shade you like, then build from there. I tend to like a bright coverlet, white sheets which always look crisp. Solid color throw pillows the color of the coverlet. The bed should be inviting crisp and tranquil. The chair is the fun piece.

Here is a beautiful color palette found on Pinterest that is classic but not fuddy duddy. I would go with a gray bedspread with a textured but plain fabric. The toile is good, but in small doses. Using the gray will also make it more current.

So here are two thoughts- since your headboard is linen, I would tie in a touch of tan/ecru to your bedding. So mix of white, black or white and tan:
