A CAFCI is the combination of the two forms of AFCI. It does not provide the GFCI function. What are beginning to appear now are DUAL FUNCTION breakers that provide both CAFCI and GFCI features. Those can be used to protect circuits that require GFCI (bathrooms, etc..).

Those standard outlets you see may be connected to the load part of an existing GFCI outlet.

Thanks for informing me of that mistake, I thought CAFCI was a combination of GFCI and AFCI.

So a daisy chain on the load side or dual function breaker is sufficient for bath and kitchen, I originally thought code required each outlet needed it at the outlet which is why I wondered if GFCI outlets were still needed.

You can use a dual function, or you can use an AFCI breaker and then a GFCI receptacle and connect the subsequent ones to the load side of the GFCI receptacle.
