I live in the bay area and have a Fuyu Persimmon tree I planted 2 years ago. The first year it had 2 small persimmons which fell off when they were about an inch across. I figured that's was because it was a new tree. This year I had about a dozen persimmons, they started to fall off at about 2 inches across and I was down to having only about 3 left, they are close to 3.5 inches across and I just lost another one today. I am sort of expecting the other 2 to fall off before they turn that beautiful orange color. Is this normal for them to fall off until the tree gets bigger?
