The entire room was only 101" wide (8 foot 5"). We were left with approximately 42" between the laundry appliances and the cabinets facing them. Hope that helps you!

So the w/d will be installed so they back on the 10' foot wall, and your room is 8 feet wide?

In this space, the cabinets facing the w/d are 24" deep. If you don't need to hang clothes in the cabinets, you could make them shallower, to increase the space between the appliances and the cabinets. Ideally, you need room to stand back from the appliances and open the doors to the w/d without hitting your bum on the cabinet behind you!
