Lemon Laundry detergent and Lemon Softener

As sparky823 mentioned in an earlier post, Lehman's makes Lemon liquid detergent and their website has Farmhouse Lemon Verbena fabric softener. These two together could be amazing. I like many of you wonder why no mainstream Lemon detergents?? It's like the near perfect scent for laundry!

Yeah sparky, I saw the detergent says no bleach when using, and no softener needed. I don't see how no softener would be needed, if one likes the feel of softened clothes? A little liquid softener goes far, but does wonders! :)

I still cannot stop thinking of those Fab 1 shot packs we were talking about. Seriously, when I close my eyes I can still feel them, and I can smell them exactly how they were...even the way the moist packs felt and smelled going from the washer to the dryer. Dang...I loved those!! Best detergent smell I have EVER known!!!

Yes they were good!! As you know, Charlies also says no softener needed. LOL Just had to bring CS up.

Sparky, I'm wondering about the ingredients in this Lehmans detergent, it doesn't give a complete list, so I'm wondering if its like the homemade version going around the web.

I took a second look at Lehmans...this is my take of the ingredients. .Naturally derived low sudsing cleaners= bar soap probably grandmas old fashioned lye or kirks or along those lines

    Sodium bicarbonate= baking soda

    Corn starch= lol

    Essential or fragrance oils= scent

So it is one of the homemade recipes on the web.

The only thing about this detergent that would be any good would be the lemon scent, but that won't get your clothes clean, and it won't keep your washer clean, as a matter of fact all that ** Soap** will cause clothing and washer problems down the road for sure. Wonder how many people fall for this gimmik..lol.

I'm not sure about it--but I did read where it says that it is shipped direct from the manufacturer. Meant to say when you ask me about using the All and I said yes, well thats true but I did try the Tide pods with the 4 in 1 with febreze--very fresh light scent. Just dont think they clean as well. I had a $2 off coupon so I got them cheap cause it was just a 10 pack. Lol

Pink: You had lost me on the ingredient list. I went back on there looking at the softener Larsi was talking about and saw the powder you are talking about. I was talking about a liquid that has a pump in it. It's called Own or Our or something like that--I forget now.

Found this on the AW site. Has anyone tried it? Hurricane Lemon Liquid

Donna, I've seen different powders of Hurricane detergent on line but havent used it or researched it yet.

Apart from this one; organic detergents also make a good option.
