literally waiting to see which way the wind blows here. Erika is keeping everyone looking at the weather channel. If we can't work in the yard, then the sewing machine will come back out and maybe the project with all the little prairie points.

I don't know how much sewing I will get done this weekend. I have stuff packed up everywhere in my sewing room to take to retreat this week. There are 4 row by row shops on my way, so I will be stopping at those. I may just take this weekend to clean the sewing room...it is a holy mess.

I finished quilting two toddler quilts on Thursday, so yesterday, I got them both bound. I am off today to DD#2 and am taking them along to hand sew those bindings.

We are going to Lakeland to visit parents today, but I plan to sew all day tomorrow. Just not sure what project I'll work on yet. :)

I ran out of thread and will take a trip to the store this morning. Then I will finish quilting the borders and get this latest project bound. I have another project right behind it and will be sewing this weekend on one project or another. It's a nice break for me to be able to sit down and sew. I warned my husband I won't be doing a lot of cooking because I'm taking the weekend off. Fortunately, he is okay with that.

I have a few smaller tops for kids that I could work on if I can get to the point where my back doesn't make me cringe. One just needs to be pressed and decide on borders and the other is to the point of sewing on sashing.

I have finally finished quilting DD#2 Scooby doo quilt. It's coming to retreat for magic binding.

I, too, am packing things for retreat...hope no one needs the ironing board! I have a project in the works for retreat, so that (and kids' school) takes the fore front until Thursday. I can't wait til Thursday!

chocolate is good to have, and some food. but clean clothes are overrated.

No sewing for me - we arrived in England Saturday morning - and forced ourselves to stay up until 9:30 last night. I got up at 1 this afternoon - DH about 2:30! Our son arrived about 3pm (we are staying with him). After he got settled back in we walked into town then had dinner. We are all just chillin this evening. He goes back to work tomorrow, I am hoping to see if there are any fabric shops nearby - will keep you posted. I hope you all have a great time at retreat - I am sure you will!

What a beautiful quilt, NMQuilter. The colors and fabrics are scrumptious. May I ask the name of your pattern? Or is it your own design? Simply lovely.

It was called Prickly Pear. Although I've seen the pattern called by other names. It was the first time I've quilted with strips. I usually do more traditional pieced patterns.
