I would replace the welcome mat with one that includes chocolate brown, grays, and creams in a scrolling pattern to complement the lights.

I think a couple of really good planters (could be iron or some other eye catching stone or ceramic) on either side of the door would really help break up the tunnel effect. I would be sure that the planting have both height and color--lots of options!

How about faux iron over the windows? It's lightweight and comes in many styles. Then maybe a bench on one side and a couple of planters on the other. If you want a wreath try putting it over the bench.
