My DGD's argyle quilt is half quilted, so I'd like to finish quilting and bind that one so I can give it to her on the 12th. I'll also be sending my nephew's Winter Windows to him after I show it to his mom (my sis, whom I'm meeting at the airport along with the quilt. She has a layover in Minneapolis on her way to hike some trail in Utah).

I'd like to finish cutting the One Block Wonder triangles and come up with at least one more project to take to Hawaii this winter.

I have a Summer in the Park quilt started with some batik jelly roll fabric that I got in a scrap bag. I could work on that.

I also have purchased thread to quilt my Bird of Paradise wallhanging, so that's a possibility. And I have the Wild Duck quilt and the Asian Arcadia quilt that need to be quilted.

We'll be in France for two weeks this month, so I won't get too much done. I have to figure out which clothes to take along. I hate, hate that part of traveling. I never know what to take, and I usually guess wrong.

You two sound like you have lots planned. Whew!

since I did not get the Scrappy Mountains worked on in Aug. that will be my one goal.

I think I am finally back into the quilting groove. It's been a challenge to get back my quilting mojo.

I will be working on a 70-block Shadowbox aka Illusion quilt. Using 10" charm squares. Would appreciate quilting suggestions. I have such a difficult time with actual quilting...never satisfied with my efforts.

I think I'll follow Sharon's lead and get the borders on the Hunter's Star quilt. I have 2 other tops that need quilting, so maybe I'll go on a quilting binge. :)

Beth, your quilt looks very sweet so far. I think you picked a perfect pattern for the seersucker. It sounds like you're making an expanded version of the pattern Pinwheels and Prairie Points. I can't wait to see the completed quilt. Very pretty.

Beth, So far, I don't see anything 'wonky' about this. I don't think I've ever seen Prairie Points that weren't used at the edges of a quilt, so this sounds interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing this completed.

FWIW, I used seersucker as a backing on my now 26 year old DGS's baby quilt. It was washed almost weekly for the first 6-8 years with no problems, and used sporadically after that. A few years ago, my DD told me that as a teenager and when he still lived at home, he would get it out when he didn't feel well and wrap up in it. Yes, he does have a larger quilt, but this is the one that comforts him the most. Anyway, that seersucker fabric stayed the course. lol

It looks great Beth and I know it will be loved and appreciated. I'm anxious to see it as each new element is added. Definitely a gift of love!

loisflan...YES! I had only seen a picture and loved it, but now that you said 'Pinwheels and Prairie points pattern' I did a little research and it must be a Moda pattern. Only that one is for a baby quilt (which is actually what I saw!!) and I'm going larger for a full sized. Glad I got to google that pattern name...there are TONS of pictures out there...should be a huge help! Thank you!

I feel like a slacker compared to you all. And, Beth, your quilt is looking great.

My only goal this month is to finish the quilt that I'm making for my mother. Working on the binding now (hand stitching). It's my first time binding and it definitely shows. This one won't be winning any awards. Ha! But the finish line is in sight and that's really exciting!

Well - thanks to the lotto group - I will have a beautiful collection of Bear Paw blocks to work with in addition to some other smaller projects I have in progress right now - lap quilts for our camper. It's been a busy start for Sept. and is looking like it may be that way a good share of the month. I may have to resort to some hand quilting - which I've never done - in order to get anything accomplished this month - maybe some Christmas ornaments or small projects that are easy to take on the road. We'll see how it goes.
