A pale yellow would work well with your blue and white bedding. First find a picture you like with both blue and yellow in it to hang over the bed. Then consider changing the buttons on the pillow that's on the bed to large light yellow ones. Or you could try adding a yellow pillow. For the upholstery on the bed, White with blue welting would be pretty.

I have a question: why do you have the bed jammed up against the door frame, when it looks like the nightstand should be covering up the outlet and the bed moved over a bit? It looks a little funny.

But to answer your question. A blue, yellow, and white stripe might look good with it on the headboard with a blue welt. You could also make a new pillow in the same fabric.

I would not go with another print, but a srtipe or, even, plaid would coordinate with your medallion print.

I think the scale and design of the duvet pattern calls for a taller more elegant fabric covered headboard, and the bed should ideally be farther from the door. To introduce another color, I would suggest starting by adding it through one or more pillows, one or more of which may also include white or blue. If you like the look, you can then add the color to larger more expensive items (curtains, rug, artwork etc.).

Thank you for the input! The bed is normally more centered on the wall, but We're in the middle if adding new windows so the exterior wall is torn apart. Nothing quite like living in the construction zone of a DIY project! We had one tiny window before so I didn't put much effort into window treatments. Now that the room will finally be "done". I'd like to figure out some nice window treatments.

I also agree with the headboard not being quite right. Definitely a different fabric, maybe with nail head trim?

What an improvement to your lovely space. I like the addition of yellow &/or green to the current scheme, plus adding a higher more prominant headboard (which if you are a good DIYer you can do yourself.)
