Help selecting Frigidaire vs Electrolux Refrigerator!

Been searching for a reliable, quiet, good value French door refrigerator. Do not need ice and water dispensers, want a flat front. I found these 2 and welcome your experience on pros/cons (or other brands that are a good value and reliable).

  1. Electrolux model EI23BC30KS, for $2100.
  2. Frigidaire model FGHG2366PF, for $920 including a 5 year all inclusive warranty (parts, labor, food spoilage). The Frigidaire was a special order which was returned for a ding on the side, has no other damage. The ding will be hidden by the cabinet. I do not like the Frigidaire handles but hoping either they can be switched out or I can like them if all else is equal to Electrolux EI23BC30KS

Thank you!

Joe, huge thank you! I wondered when I saw it if they were the same core unit. May I ask if they are noisy in comparison to other brands? It's going in a smaller, open concept kitchen and living room, at the end near the living room. Do you know if it is possible to change the handles?

The handles are replaceable but I'm not sure if the Elux handle is the same size. If both are available to look at measure the handle length at the connection points

Jakvis, thank you! I will measure and compare. Didn't think of using the Electrolux ones! Folks use custom handles for paneled fridges. Was wondering if those handles may be possible to use.

" Folks use custom handles for paneled fridges"

Yep that's just one of the reasons I love my 48" paneled Jenn-air Fridge.

I installed Electrolux Fridge handles on it to match my Electrolux Oven, Speed oven and Wine fridge.

I also like how easy it is to keep the panels nice looking , compared to our old fridge which was SS and a real PITA to keep spotless, as was the old SS DW, which is also now paneled, A Miele, and it's handle matches the Elux appliances, quite well.

Gary, thanks! Great you love your JennAir. I wish I could accommodate a built in with panel but sadly, I cannot. Have to figure out if the Frigidaire handles are designed so other handles can be attached. I asked a knowledgeable person at Home Depot kitchen department and they thought no. But I am hopeful. Trying to find a contact at Frigidaire to confirm they can be switched. No idea what type of attachment is needed.

Went to take a picture of the Frigidaire with the ding, to be sure the cabinet will cover it ( it will). In the process saw one of the shelves was now unpacked and potentially used ( they were not in the unit last time). Nothing other than the usual cleaning appears to be needed. Sales person was horrified, though. Reduced the price to $720, still with the all inclusive 5 year warranty. I see no reason to pass this fridge up. It has less usable space but hopefully not noisy. $720 vs $2100. I'll live with the handles I don't like. Calling Frigidaire to see if I can put custom handles on it. Joe, Jakvis, 59 Dodge, thank you!
