We are building the house obviously, so it is unfinished, but you can see how dark the cabinets are and the granite. The living room is right next to the kitchen.

I still think grey would go just fine with those kitchen colors. If you're concerned yet, consider choosing a couch that is more of a griege than a true grey.

I think the gray tones will work, a warmer gray will tie in better with the brown tones that you already have going on in the home. You will want to stay away from cooler, more steel in color grays.
