You could go for the unexpected. put a half-round table where the chest of drawers sit. Then, swag the chain or cord of a contemporary nickle chandelier to hang above the little entry table. you dont need that lite where it is!

I agree.....dump the ceiling light altogether. But first I would build a wall from the right to about where the window trim starts. You don't have an "entry". This would block that nuisance of the rush of air/dust/ leaves/peoples view into the living room. Then put a 10" deep, 28" tall, 48" long table on the back side of that wall and two nice wall sconce above, morror in the middle. You can come in, hang your coat, check the mail, drop your keys, take off your shoes....then enter your house. You would have more wall space in the living room where you could mount two sconces, another mirror (just what you need,eh?) and another shallow table and........ your mirrors wouldn't be reflecting so much outside light.
