I need help with furniture placement. Its hard to tell from our floor plan, but it's the best one I have at the moment. We have the bay window and the fireplace.

I do not want to put a table and chairs in the eat in kitchen area. We have a dining room and we use it to eat all our meals in and I don't feel like we need two places to eat.

Currently I have a rug and two chairs in front of the bay window with sliding door out to the deck in the eat in kitchen area.

In the living room area I have: across from the fire place a long sofa with a sofa table. On the wall opposite the kitchen I have a shorter matching sofa. In the space next to the eat in kitchen area I have two chairs (same style different color) as the chairs in the eat in kitchen area with a side table between them. The long sofa and sofa table 'float' in the room, in front of the stairs to form a hallway. In the back corner I have a large desk.

There is too much furniture. We want places to hang out and enjoy the view of the back yard. And we need the computer to be on the main floor. Thoughts and ideas appreciated!
