Can anyone tell me about this table?

This table was in my family's home for as long as I can remember. The finish is not original and I want to restore back but don't know stain color or manufacturer. The top is solid marble. There are no markings anywhere I can see. I'm guessing it was made in the late 40's to mid 50's. Any ideas of manufacturer or original finish?
