What color exterior paint?

We are getting ready to paint our house. We'll be replacing the front entry walkway ( to the rightof the garage) and deck with Kayu Batu (see pic for color reference) and replacing our garage door with a CHI carriage house stamped mahogany door (see attached pic). I'm thinking we may replace the horizontal trim with 12"X1" strip of Kayu Batu and add some wood accents, but the other trim will ideally stay the same, as well as the gutters won't change color.

We are thinking Benjamin Moore iron gate (see pic), but I'm afraid we may need to change the trim then which isn't the end of the world, I would just need to figure out then what color to do it.

We live in the foothills and want the house to look rustic, yet modern. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Brandi! As much as I love the white, we live in the mountains and I don't think our HOA would approve. What do you think about the iron gate with the kayu?

bbmason, I love all your ideas (although I actually like the green too). If you were to do the iron gate grey, you could stain your trim a dark charcoal or black. In my opinion, the horizontal strip would be nice stained the same color as the trim.

Thanks! I never even considered keeping the green. Maybe we should wait till the deck is replaced to see how we should proceed. The current trim is charcoal/black. I assume you mean just keep it the same if we go ahead with iron gate?

Oh sorry, the trim doesn't look that dark in the photo. Yes, if it's in good shape, you could probably just leave it as is. I think your idea of waiting to paint until after the deck is installed is a sound one. A new deck can really change the vibe of a place. Your exterior color ideas may change completely when it's finished. Good luck with everything. Great place. :)
