Only seeing that small portion of the room I would suggest - larger rug, taller coffee table, and wall color/drapes that aren't the same color.

anyf, don't keep making new dilemmas for this room. If you really want help, you need to give us more pictures. We need to see the entire room from all directions. Take more photos and upload them on this thread.

Some people use the Houzz app, some use Houzz.com. They are NOT EVEN CLOSE to being the same, so shouting orders to someone looking for help here is not exactly fair or friendly. We're all equals here, having photoshop does not make anyone Houzz queen.

Try accessorizing with patterned throw pillows, one or two potted plants and a floor lamp.

Accessories make a room and I would suggest some colorful art above the couch, great pillows, a modern chair, a side table and/or floor lamp. If you search Houzz living room photos of modern rooms, you may see some options you like for your living space. The pic below only shows how accessories/color help, but the style of furniture is not right for your room.

i am sorry paper, they do not have a delete button on one of those? if you tell me what to tell them i will try to remember. I don't even know which one i use, i only know i try to help them correct, because others don't like.

I always recommend filling the walls with art. let me see if i have some pillows for you, I can not do much else, because we cannot see the rest of the room. My pillows are all $25>
