exterior paint color suggestion

not quite sure the paint color for the siding n on the dog houses. I have already painted trim in back and it is Sherwin Williams sw 7538 tamarind. the roof is muller saddle brown. we have siding on the side at the top as well. I don't know if I should paint trim and siding same color go dark for siding need help!

Hello C.C. Designs,

First off, great exterior looking to your home.

You might consider painting your fascia a darker color than the roof and paint the siding the same tone as the roof except 30-50% lighter. If you have wood garage doors, stain the same color as your posts or a darker color.

Also, I don't know if you have finishes or colors for the under side of the front porch or the concrete walls. I'm guessing you might be using stone on the walls but if not consider using a stain. Stain or paint the the under side of the front porch a lighter color than the beams. If you install shutters consider a dark color like the fascia. Without shutters your windows do not POP. If you don't use shutters consider changing the window trim to the fascia color, they need to be bolder.

Thank you!! That's kind of what I was thinking color wise just lighter trim. I just didn't want to paint it all and it look horrible!! lol My garage door is a steel door 16X9 we ordered it white and were going to paint it. I was just waiting on paint colors. So what would you paint my garage door? Under the porches we are using a old rusted metal off 100 yr. old barn, were from Texas so def. our style lol. We don't have the outdoor fans or chandeliers yet or metal up so looks funny. Yes, the concrete wall just got poured and that will be rocked with an Oklahoma flag stone it will be darker then our rock on house. The beams in the front are cedar. We were going to do cedar shutters would you stain them the color of the beams or color of the door? Also would you do shutters on every window or just on front of house and garage?

Hi C.C. I love the distressed metal, it looks fabulous.

The garage door would look great in the darker fascia color.

The shutters would help the windows POP if they were a stained a darker color similar to the garage door. You could do most of the windows with shutters as you have a lot of wall space to work with, however, you end up covering up your beautiful stone siding, so I'd start with the just front elevation of home and then decide what windows to do next, if you do any others at all.
